Josie Maida

Hi! I'm Josie! One half of Spinning Carousel Co. and a huge fan of all things Disney! 

I went to the parks once as a kid, but those few memories inspired a love of the brand. In high school, Disney movies became a major comfort to me as I struggled with my lifelong battle with anxiety and panic disorder. Watching the movie provided me with an escape from how I was feeling, and ended up changing my whole life. My family planned a trip to Walt Disney World, and I learned about the Disney College Program and realized that one day I could work at - and live at - Walt Disney World. 

And so, I did! I worked for the brand for many years in social media management before leaving to pursue some new dreams - like Spinning Carousel Co.! I still live just about a mile from Cinderella Castle, and I still love finding ways to bring a little bit of magic to my days in the parks and at home! 

Snow White, Moana, and Tiana are my favorite princesses and my favorite Disney movie is Meet the Robinsons. I met the love of my life in EPCOT and I'm a huge fan of all things vintage Disney and Disney history. I'm mostly known for eating in the Disney Parks over on Instagram and TikTok!

The Spinning Carousel Co. piece I couldn't live without is my gold, 1982, 21st Century Begins necklace. It's a nod to one of my favorite places on Earth, and it's the piece that inspired all of Spinning Carousel Co. - but that's a story for another time. 

I love that my love of Disney has helped me to build a life and a community. I'm always eager to chat about the Disney of tomorrow or what's to come next!
