Mickey Mouse? Across the globe, you'd be pained to find someone who didn't recognize this iconic little mouse. However, since his debut all the way back on November 18, 1928, this beloved character has been featured in thousands of different pieces of media; from movies and cartoons to in-person meet and greets, he's been everywhere! Even though he has a face the world knows and loves, there's a lot many don't know about the one and only, Mickey Mouse! 

THIS MOUSE IS TAKEN 

While Mickey and Minnie Mouse have appeared on screen and in person together countless times since their debut back in 1928. However, they've never been married on the big screen. While this couple is arguably one of the most famous in the world and has been for decades, it doesn't seem that we'll be granted a celebrity wedding anytime soon. And that's because the couple is already married! 

Walt Disney himself addressed the questioning back in 1933 in an interview discussing the well-known mice. While Mickey and Minnie often play a romantically linked couple on the big screen, they are already married in real life. If you're confused, don't worry - we've got you covered.

Essentially, Walt thought of these two little characters as real beings. Similar to actors who could play many different roles, but still remain their own unchanging person. Mickey and Minnie Mouse play a wide variety of "roles" on screen, which is where their many different outfits and storylines come from. But behind it all, they're always Mickey and Minnie Mouse - and yes, according to Walt Disney himself, they have tied the knot! 

MICKEY'S A TRUE STAR 

While earning a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a dream for many celebrities, Mickey Mouse has had his since November 18, 1978 - yes, on his 50th birthday! He was the first cartoon character to receive this highly coveted honor and is still among a short list of 19 fictional characters that have been awarded stars of their own. Among them? Donald Duck, Kermit the Frog, and of course, Minnie Mouse. 

MICKEY HAS A FAVORITE FOOD 

Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggity Dog! 🌭 Did you know that Mickey Mouse's now iconic line, "Hot Dog", were the first words he spoke? Back in 1929 in the short, The Karnival Kid, Mickey exclaimed, "Hot Dog!" and he's been saying it ever since. I wonder what his favorite toppings are?

Did you know that Walt Disney himself gave Mickey Mouse his first voice? That's right - the head of the company and the mastermind behind millions of beloved stories and places held this character so close to his heart that he himself voiced this little mouse. 

Only a handful of others have had the honor to voice this beloved character including Jimmy MacDonald, Wayne Allwine, and Bret Iwan. 

HE'S THE LEADER OF THE CLUB THAT'S MADE FOR YOU AND ME

The Mickey Mouse March is a tune known around the planet. It's catchy and has been playing on tv screens and beyond since October 1955 when The Mickey Mouse Club first premiered on the ABC Television Network. And the song was even written by the host of the show, Jimmie Dodd. Dodd was a musician and guitarist who wrote many fun tunes for the show, but none were quite as iconic as the Mickey Mouse March!
